·Always-On Display (AOD) disabled — reducing real-world drain by 30–60%.
·Single-band L1 GNSS tracking only — multi-band L1+L5 doubles receiver power consumption.
·Power-saving profiles active — lower screen brightness, reduced heart-rate polling, suppressed background sync.
·Solar contribution counted into baseline hours (Garmin Solar variants), inflating the GPS-only figure.
·Mixed-use claims (Samsung 80h, OnePlus 100h) include no continuous GPS load — comparing them to pure-GPS claims is category error.
